Separate “slow” from “unreachable”
A spinner with a 200 later is a performance problem. A browser error like ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT or DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN is a connectivity problem. DownSpotter’s diagnostics map onto those buckets: response time versus DNS, TLS, or timeout errors.
Non-destructive checklist
- Try a second website to see if the whole network is affected.
- Refresh once; then try a private window.
- Disable VPN or corporate proxy briefly if you can.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular.
- Check DownSpotter to see if we can reach the host.
